Professor Rafael received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil, in 1984, his M.Sc. in Telematics and Information Systems at Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (SUPELEC), in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Telecommunications and Signal Processing at Université de Rennes in1988, and his Postdoc inTelematics and Information System at Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (SUPELEC), in 2007.Currently, he is with University of Brasilia, Brazil.
